booking-flow-full — CT-BOOK-03/05/10-14 — 2026-09-07

Peyton WP tenant (peytonworkprojects@gmail.com) · platform.mystflo.com · Verdict: MIXED — real activations succeeded, design-parity mostly PASS, one P0-class UX gate finding. Full writeup: booking-flow-full-findings-2026-09-07.md

Methodology note — a stale frontend bundle produced one false positive, corrected in-session

A "New version available" toast appeared mid-walk. Before refreshing, the Workshop Booking Month/Day/Year date picker appeared to revert selections — exactly the P0 bug #4503 was meant to fix. After refreshing to the current bundle and retesting, the picker worked cleanly. #4503 is confirmed fixed. One casualty: an earlier observation of a duplicated default string in the Workshop name field ("Saturday Sound BathSaturday Sound Bath") could not be re-verified before I overwrote the field — reported as UNCONFIRMED, not a solid finding.

Finding 1 (P0-class, CONFIRMED cross-template) — payment_link gate doesn't block client-side readiness P0-class

Personalize shows ✓ and CTA reads "Activate" with payment_link completely empty

Personalize tab showing green checkmark and Activate button with payment link field empty
payment_mode=full_prepay, payment_link cleared to empty. Personalize tab (top nav) shows a green ✓, Connect shows ✓, and the header CTA reads "Activate" — not "Complete Setup", not disabled. Reproduced identically on Workshop Booking before I filled it in for the real activation.

The server correctly rejects it — clean rollback, no orphaned state

Something didn't go through screen — payment link missing, nothing created
"Something didn't go through — Some required setup is missing: Payment link... Nothing was created — No assistant, no workspace, no charge." Reproduced twice via "Try activating again". The money-safety net works; the founder-facing UX doesn't warn until this late, ~10-20s into an "Activating..." animation, instead of an inline required marker at Personalize as PR #4204 intended.

Finding 3 (RESOLVED IN-SESSION) — {{host}} placeholder was an empty-Brain precondition gap, not a code bug Resolved

Brain had zero business name set

Brain check showing 0 of 1, business name not set
Connect tab → Brain Check: "YOUR BUSINESS 0 of 1 — Add business name". Every preview bubble showed the literal placeholder «your business name» as a result.

Fixed by setting the business name — token resolved correctly everywhere

Business name Bali Offline Club saved in Brain slide-over
Set "Bali Offline Club" in the Brain slide-over. See next card — {{host}} then resolved correctly in every preview.

Host token resolves correctly once Brain has a business name

Day-before reminder preview correctly showing Bali Offline Club instead of placeholder
"Hi Maya, it's Bali Offline Club — a quick reminder: Friday Night Hangout Vol. 2 is tomorrow..." — resolved correctly, PASS. Recommend adding this precondition check to the plan's Reset table for future sittings.

Real activation — CT-BOOK-03 (Event Booking)

"Event Booking" is live

Event Booking is live confirmation screen
Activated cleanly after filling payment_link. Note the "Confirmations & reminders — pending Meta approval" notice — this matches CT-BOOK-08's own described go-live degrade path, now baked into every fresh booking activation.

Design parity — pre vs post (CT-BOOK-10..14)

CT-BOOK-10/11 — Header + tab strip parity: PASS

Pre-activation detail modal header and stepper tab strip
PRE: stepper tabs (chevrons), OVERVIEW › PERSONALIZE › CONNECT › TRY, opens on Overview.
Post-activation detail modal header and plain nav tab strip, R30 compliant
POST: plain nav, PULSE OVERVIEW PERSONALIZE CONNECT — Pulse first, no Try tab. Exact R30 match. Same shell as PRE.

CT-BOOK-12 — Overview copy identity (R28): PASS

Post-activation Overview tab showing identical What it does copy
"What it does" text is byte-for-byte identical pre vs post — confirmed by direct comparison against the PRE screenshot above.

CT-BOOK-13 — "Your setup" location (R29): PASS, with one wording finding

Post-activation Personalize tab showing locked read-only mirror of configured values
The "Your setup" read-back correctly lives on POST Personalize (locked, no edit buttons) — not on Overview. But its banner text includes "...Brain readiness lives on Connect →", a phrase #4527 explicitly required removed from booking Personalize. Likely new context (this banner didn't exist when #4527 shipped) rather than a regression — flagged for a ruling.

CT-BOOK-14 — Connect tab + summary card parity (D4/R36): PASS

Post-activation Connect tab showing pending Meta approval row
Same WhatsApp/Storage shell as PRE, plus a new "Booking confirmation & reminders — Pending Meta approval" row (the #4482 go-live pattern, now standard on every fresh activation).

Second data point — Workshop Booking, both templates side by side

Event Booking and Workshop Booking Pulse cards side by side, equal height, identical pattern
Both fresh activations follow the identical D4 (title + ASST-id / template-name sub-line) and R36 (Attendees records slot as last zone) pattern. Equal-height grid confirmed.

Workshop Booking date picker — confirmed working on the current bundle

Workshop date showing September 12 2026 correctly persisted after refresh
After refreshing to the current frontend bundle, Month → Day → Year (September / 12 / 2026) all persisted correctly and the preview resolved to "Sep 12, 2026". #4503 confirmed fixed.

Blocked

CT-BOOK-07 — no editable post-activation surface exists Blocked

Post-activation Personalize is entirely locked (see the CT-BOOK-13 screenshot above — "nothing here can be edited in place"). The "..." menu offers only Rename and "Start fresh with a new assistant" — no Settings entry point. PR #4202's confirm-modal edit flow has no live surface to test against for booking assistants anymore. Needs a product ruling: retire CT-BOOK-07, or redirect it to wherever post-activation editing now lives.
